The P1 Rib Protector by Tillett is one of the best engineered rib protectors available. Recently at the CIK FIA Karting World Championships the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place driver were all using the Tillett P1 rib protector! It's also used by many of the top drivers in the sport including F1 stars Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, and Kimi Raaikonen. CIK-FIA OK and KZ World Champions like Pedro Hiltbrand, Dexter Patterson and Paul De Conto trust the P1 because it has the technology to keep their ribs safe with today's modern karts and soft tires on "rubbered up" tracks placing extreme G-forces on their rib cages. It's also one of very few rib vests that provides full wrap protection all the way around the back.

The P1. The P1 Rib protector is clearly the best in the market and is used to win the majority of
major races. It affords drivers the highest level of rib protection available without reducing the
feel from the chassis. The P1 has highly technical panels which spread the load perfectly over the
whole ribcage and always retain their shape even on a hot day. They are the thinnest rib protector
available which means that the correct fit in your kart seat is unaffected by the addition of the
protection.
The smooth Dinamica suede outer surface does not damage expensive race suits and the soft
inner skin of special load spreading foam contributes to an ultra high level of shock performance.
The adjustable rear angle means that the P1 can adapt to straight and V shaped torsos. The Velcro
strap has an elasticated section which helps the driver breath whilst retaining the correct tension.
The P1 has a comprehensive 6 model size range, to suit the smallest bambino up to the largest
adult driver, with a special ladies’ version also available. There is a choice of three colors,
red, blue and black. It comes complete with a support harness.

Chest measurements should be taken with a measuring tape around the chest just under the
arms. Pull the tape tight, breath in and out, take the average and see which size matches your
chest circumference. If you are between two sizes go for the smaller size.
