February 11, 2014 Portland, Oregon Portland Auto Show a Success for WORD Racing, and Karting WORD Racing's iKart Shifter Kart attracted crowds at this year's Portland Auto Show. The show ran for four days at the Oregon Convention Center, and it was a great opportunity to display the USA-made iKart, and to promote karting in general. Special thanks to the Portland Karting Association for allowing us to share their booth. The Portland Auto Show averages around 100,000 attendees. This year's attendance was probably half that number due to the snow and freezing rain, but we had a steady flow of people in our booth learning more about karting. We showed race videos and handed out brochures & local race schedules. In addition to the iKart display, we had a kid kart and a junior kart for kids to sit in. It was an excellent opportunity to show car enthusiasts what karting is all about. Next up is the Portland Roadster Show! About WORD Racing iKart Factory team 1-2 at FWT! During the Portland Auto Show we received race updates and pictures from the factory iKart team, racing in the Florida Winter Tours (FWT). FWT is one of the biggest karting events in the US, and the Factory Team was going up against some of the best drivers in the nation. With a Rotax motor on AJ Meyer's iKart, and a Leopard motor on Mike Giessen's iKart, they dominated the race finishing 1st and 2nd place, an impressive three seconds clear of the 3rd place finisher. A great weekend for both WORD Racing and the Factory iKart Team. Sincerely, iKart Indianapolis | Zamp Helmets | 360 Plus Device Copyright 2014 - All Rights Reserved.
